Project Manager to manage IT Projects-Partners with business and technology
to drive solutions from design to deployment.

This is to fill the position of a IT project manager who accepted a new
role in IT.

Intermediate level project manager with full responsibility for the day-

to-day management of one or more small to medium-sized projects (e.g.
projects that are of moderate risk, average/medium in size and duration,
etc.). Incumbents typically perform their ‘lead and direct’
responsibilities (e.g. reviewing and managing project budgets, schedules
and resources, and ensuring timely project delivery that meets
stakeholders’ expectations) with limited input/assistance from their
management or other IT professionals and may provide training and
guidance to other less experienced project managers.  Spends full time
performing the project management role, directing and coordinating the
project work activities for the teams he is managing.  Passage of a
security screening & drug test is necessary for access to certain areas.

1. Manages one or more small to medium-sized, moderately complex
   projects to meet objectives identified in business cases. Medium
   projects, moderate risk levels or visibility, or; multi-dimensional
   projects involving up to 5 business units or customers, or up to 100
   internal and external stakeholders; is typically 6 to 12 months in
   duration.
2. Collaborates with professional- and expert-level IT personnel on an
   ‘as needed’ basis to manage low-medium risk projects according to
   applicable Corporate organizational standards to apply best practices
   in the given project.
3. Reviews and manages budgets, schedules, resources, and quality
   baselines to ensure timely delivery that meets stakeholders’
   expectations for one or more small to medium-sized projects.
4. Directs and coordinates project team activities at various phases of
   the project life cycle to meet project objective for one or more
   small- to medium-sized projects.
5. Participates in managing relationships with project stakeholders to
   ensure attainment of business objectives and customer satisfaction
   for one or more small to medium-sized projects.
6. Coordinates overall communication and status reporting to internal
   and external customers and stakeholders on the stability of the one
   or more small to medium-sized projects being managed.
7. Sustains a working knowledge of applicable emerging technologies,
   industry standards, and project management techniques.
8. Formulates and delivers formal and informal presentations.
9. Guides and assists less experienced Associate Project Managers and
   Project Managers, as needed.

-  *Minimum:*

Bachelor’s Degree in an IT-related discipline & 4-plus
years’ experience in an IT organization, including 1-plus year(s) of
  experience as an IT project manager focusing on design and/or soft-
   ware development / implementation projects.

 certification.*

   management skills including: IT and industry software development
   methodologies and project lifecycle models, critical path analysis,
   requirements management, PMI project management knowledge areas, and
   project management software.
-  A broad understanding of and ability to apply fundamental business
   and management skills related to small to medium-sized projects
   (e.g. planning, information gathering and analysis, decision-making,
   negotiation, financial management, and problem solving).
-  Ability to apply project planning & implementation and/or continuous
   improvement principles (typically acquired through several years of
   experience in these areas) to affect tangible, positive out-comes.
-  Competent in “multi-tasking” (i.e. the ability to prioritize & manage
   multiple tasks, issues or projects that may include high-visibility
   initiatives and require innovation, teamwork & planning).
-  Sound organizational, planning, analytical, and problem-solving
   skills, including the ability to recommend and participate in
   solution implementations in area(s) of responsibility.

*Proficiency in project management software/tools (e.g. MS Project,
 Clarity Workbench, Primavera, etc.*) sufficient to apply/support them
   with minimal instruction or guidance (this level of proficiency is
   typically attainable through 3-plus year(s) of substantive experience
   with the applications).
-  Deals effectively with resistance; takes positive steps to avoid the
   recurrence of errors through constructive critique.
-  A strong understanding of and ability to apply fundamental leadership
   skills; for example - ethics and tolerance, interpersonal
   relationships, personal/professional balance, professional growth,
   and self-improvement.
-  Ability to work in a ‘team’ and/or ‘matrixed’ structure, supporting
   multiple clients. procedures & policy.
-  Ability to conduct efficacious meetings & manage the meeting process
   with optimal results.
-  Flexibility & the ability to work with shifting priorities; embrace
   new/evolving responsibilities.
-  Copes with multiple demands from superiors, and/or subordinates &
   peers in a positive and even-handed fashion; displays a calm demeanor
   under pressure.



Skills Required
