Job Description: We are seeking an energetic software development manager with proven ability to lead a 20+ person team of software and test engineers and project managers. This position requires a thorough technical background in combination with outstanding leadership and management skills. The ideal candidate has a strong knowledge of the .Net framework, web applications, and the SOFTWARE AS A SERVICE (SaaS) MODEL. Experience with financial applications or an enterprise-level business application is very helpful. Primary Responsibilities: Lead the product development team to deliver high quality business and financial applications in a timely and professional manner Manage and enhance the existing agile development process, with special emphasis on test-driven development, and Model-View-Controller framework Help develop technical product architecture, and apply to product design and implementation Work closely with product features designers to help define requirements Work closely with support team to address escalated customer issues Produce technical product documentation and direct team to produce documentation Hire, train, motivate, and evaluate staff Requirements: 8+ years overall experience in Software Development 3+ years managing teams of 5+ Software Developers 3+ years .Net development experience Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or related field Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to motivate and lead a diverse team towards strategic goals Familiarity with Agile Development Process AJAX and/or Web Development experience Experience with integrated unit testing framework (e.g. nUnit) Experience and understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP Helpful Experience: Financial services or enterprise application domain knowledge. Familiarity with SaaS concepts such as multi-tenant architecture and web-service integration Familiarity with web development tools such as with JS, AJAX, PHP, ASP, etc. Knowledge of web services, XML, RPC, SOAP, etc. Familiarity with SharePoint and workflow concepts.
