Job Profile : Software Engineer Skills required : JAVA/EJB/JSP/J2EE, XML/XSL, SPRING and AJAX, Hibernate. Location : North Hollywood, CA (H1’s who would be willing to work fulltime after the contract period will be strongly considerec) Duration : 6+ months Start Date : ASAP Job Description: NOTE: Looking for 2 people RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide leading technical expertise in application architecture, design, software development and performance optimization to the backend Family technical team . Support and develop programs and other tools and processes used by Family team. *Support application performance analysis and tuning *Support problem analysis and resolution for the Family technology platforms *Support application administration and source code control EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field highly desired (probably a good idea to have one) REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: • 5 to 7 years experience in JAVA-related software development • Experience with consumer-facing, web-based online retail applications preferred • Proficiency in all aspects of software development including identifying requirements, design, implementation, functional and performance testing, and deployment • Must be able to provide technical leadership in software architecture and development to a team of senior-level engineers • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences • Must be able to understand business objectives and priorities as defined by management and drive technology solutions to meet those requirements • Expert knowledge of JAVA/EJB/JSP/J2EE application architecture and development • Strong experience with JAVA-related concepts, including XML/XSL, SPRING and AJAX (DWR or similar). • Strong experience with Hibernate. • Strong experience in data-driven application development (SQL Server preferred) • Strong experience in conducting application performance analysis and tuning • Experience administering JAVA application servers (Tomcat) • Experience with source code control systems (Perforce or similar like CVS) and IDEs like Eclipse. • Knowledge of software development best practices, including unit and stress testing • Must be familiar with Windows 2000/XP; UNIX/Linux skills experience would be a plus but not required Share this opportunity!!!!
