*A note to current and former EDS employees/contractors: *The main requirement is Interchange experience, which typically only comes from candidates who have worked at EDS. Please indicate former and/or current EDS employment/contracting history when replying. *Location: Downtown Nashville, TN* *Position Description:* Develops and installs programs to support general business applications running on Sun Solaris platform. Plans, designs, develop and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products. Using current programming languages and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications. Monitor and support production systems. Participation in on-call rotation will be required. *Technical Environment:* The TennCare Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) runs on a Sun/Unix environment using Oracle as the RDBMS and a PowerBuilder front-end. *Experience / Education:* 6+ years of C programming experience, including embedded SQL. SQL experience, preferably in an Oracle environment. Good communications skills. Experience in a Sun Solaris environment. Ability to mentor and lead other analysts. Able to recommend and follow processes. Advanced degree and/or demonstrated business and technical experience required. Technical leadership. Software Development Life Cycle using industry recognized tool set. Demonstrated business experience.
