*Systems admin/Network admin* * **Location : MA* *Duration : 6 Months* Andover, MA Senior IT Network and Systems Administrator You will have primary IT ownership for driving the migration of a high-traffic eCommerce website to new infrastructure including development of technology, processes, and procedures for highly-available, 24x7 operations, global redundancy, automated monitoring and alerting, system profiling, routine maintenance, and system- and application-level performance tuning. You will be responsible for monitoring, maintenance and development of enhanced capabilities of internal systems and networks. You will design, test and implement all phases of projects, which will include complete documentation and monitoring tools as needed. New feature and or functionality documentation will include publishing policies/procedures, training for junior technicians, and server/system management. When necessary, this position will manage external resources such as consultants and design consultants brought in for major projects. As a team member of the global IT support staff, you will: Monitor, maintain and enhance the functionality of WAN/LAN/DR/eCommerce systems both domestically and internationally Identify and implement the tools needed for the monitoring of the WAN/LAN/DR/eCommerce systems Identify ways to enhance the productivity of the WAN/LAN/DR/eCommerce systems while decreasing the operational cost. Review and update all procedure documentation Perform local end-user and desktop support for the Andover office Reporting: no direct reports and will be based in North Andover, MA Required Skills: Experience configuring and managing high-traffic eCommerce web sites Knowledge of Linux (CentOS) distribution installation/maintenance/administration. Experience with MySQL database administration and maintenance. Strong knowledge of installation/administration, maintenance, tuning Apache web services. Working PC administration knowledge (Windows desktop operating systems and office productivity applications) Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Strong project planning and management skills. Ability to prepare, organize, and conduct user training. Ability to document the operational processes and procedures for the network. Strong understanding of Disaster Recovery systems and procedures. Basic understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocols BGP/OSPF/EIGRP. Basic understanding of configuration of routers, switches and firewalls Understanding of virtualized server environments (VMWare ESX). Strong understanding of web server operations, load balancing and high-availability systems. Additional Skills Preferred: Microsoft Exchange 2007 and Active Directory administration. Understanding of storage area networking (SAN) technology and mirroring. Ability to analyze network hardware/software including Cisco VOIP phone systems, Cisco Unity voicemail system, video conferencing equipment. Understanding of eCommerce systems. Experience: 5+ years senior systems administration experience on both Windows and Linux systems 3+ years with WANs and IP networks Education: BS in Computer Science or related technical field Linux, Cisco, and Microsoft certifications desired -- Thanks & Regards..
