Duration: 7 Months

Rate: OPEN (ALAP)

Focus on analysis of Medicare Advantage business as well as performing
in a delivery
lead role in this analysis –advanced analytics, database requirements.



SUMMARY

Under minimal supervision, responsible for planning, organizing, and
implementing health care data management activities. Operate within broad
parameters to ensure optimum utilization of manpower and budget. Act as
internal consultant to fulfill information and business needs.



Focus on analysis of Medicare Advantage business as well as performing in a
delivery lead role in this analysis –advanced analytics, database
requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead in the research and analysis of health care data to evaluate existing
and potential trends/issues.



Manage and monitor multiple projects by establishing project plans and
objectives to ensure goal attainment within defined parameters.



Develop communication methods for the discussion of analyses and
recommendations with management.



Assist management with the implementation of solutions for identified
problems/issues.



Act as a liaison between the Business Intelligence Center and assigned
clients.



Create data repositories for common definitions and reporting.



Identify and resolve challenges to fulfill key corporate objectives and
respond to change management demands.



Provide expertise and guidance of health care data to unit and corporate
staff as required.



Participate in group/committee discussions and attend client meetings.



Participate in ongoing data validation to ensure data integrity and
reliability.



Maintain an excellent understanding of requirements determination, data
organizational structures, testing approaches, report design and
development, relevant health care issues and industry initiatives.



Maintain a strong understanding of Company business, products,
programs (including
provider data, networks, etc.), corporate organizational structure, complex
research principles/methodologies.



Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Health Care,
Information Systems, Statistics or other related field is required; Master’s
degree preferred.



EXPERIENCE

Six (6) or more years of experience in related field required.



Excellent analytical, data management, planning, problem solving, verbal and
written communication skills.



Excellent project management and consultative skills.



Ability to interface with employees at all levels including senior
leadership.



Must be self-motivated and able to work independently within a team
environment.



Highly proficient in data languages (i.e. SAS, SQL) and industry standard PC
applications (i.e. Excel, Access).



Possess skills to perform as a team lead for specific projects and/or staff
members.



Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.

with others around the corporation, as well as with outside vendors, within
a complex data environment. Proven experience in using advanced analytic
skills to make sense of data patterns within a study, as well as connecting
these patterns with analytic findings from prior studies. Demonstrated
strength in taking complex findings and communicating them in such a way as
to tell a clear and compelling story to senior leadership.



Demonstrated ability to take delivery leadership role for 2 or 3 significant
project work streams simultaneously.

Learn and make use of the project management documents available Make
certain that business requirements are clearly defined and understood, and
formally agreed to by requestors Oversee the work of others involved in the
project, managing the deliverables themselves to time and budget, as well as
working with the variety of personalities

Keep lines of communication to requestors open, following through with
meetings and interim written results at the point of delivery of key
milestones, and working with requestors to overcome any obstacles and manage
any scope changes



Familiarity with Medicare Advantage data and benefits.

disciplined testing environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Organized, task-oriented

Requirements gathering and documentation experience

Able to stay on task in potentially distracting, dynamic group setting

Good interpersonal and teamwork skills, readily accepts instruction

Flexible hours (evening and weekend work may be required at times)

Familiarity with claims/membership concepts & terminology a plus

Company experience a plus
