*JAVA/HATS Developer* *Richmond** VA*** *35-40/hr* Our client is seeking 2 developers needed to work with a client downtown or in the West End for a year long contract. Candidates will be working for a client within the Health Care Industry. Candidates will take CICS (mainframe) screens and convert them to web based application (J2EE) and make enhancements to current applications. HATS is an IBM Websphere tool that stands for Host Access Transformation Services. HATS helps extend legacy applications to other business partners, customers, and employees*. Ideal candidates will have prior health-care, insurance and/or Medicaid related experience.* * * *Required Skills:* - Seasoned Development professional with 5-6 years mainframe CICS/DB2 experience, - 3-4 years Rational HATS experience - 2-3 years development exposure in J2EE based Web related technologies. - Hands on Exposure to JSF/Hibernate and integration experience with other applications - Hands-on design experience using Unified Modeling Language (UML). - Hands-on experience using development tools (e.g. WID, RAD, Eclipse) - Strong Portal developer using Websphere Portal (Preferred) - Agile Development Experience - Should have strong object-oriented development skills. - Should be able to work independently as well as in a team environment. - Should have experience in heavy Transaction Processing and Transaction Management.
