*Overview:*
*Position Summary*:
The Software Engineer will use C and Oracle Applications and Develop with
Visual basic .NET/Visual C# to assist in the ongoing construction and
maintenance of an automated manufacturing operation supporting an engaging,
large-scale e-commerce website.
*Responsibilities:*
· Responsible for building and maintaining Plant Systems (Conveyor
control systems, Warehouse management systems, Order fulfillment systems
using Pick to Lights) and its integration into our business Design and
Develop new applications based on new requirements with limited support
from senior staff, and
· Review, document and enhance legacy code.
· Work closely with the senior staff in the ERP group to enhance
our existing code base and to help implement new functionality and
requirements.
· Provide 24x7 Support for all plant applications.
*Interactions:*
Receives general instructions on what is to be done, limitations, quality
and quantity expected, deadlines, and priority of assignments from Team
leader. Uses initiative in carrying out recurring assignments
independently without specific instruction but receives additional specific
instructions from Team leader for new, difficult, or special
projects/assignments
No supervisory responsibility but is responsible for managing a specific
function
*Qualifications:*
Must have three plus years (3+) years experience working in systems
development using C/C++ (C preferred )
Experience in automated warehouse distribution centers will be a
definite plus.
Must have excellent understanding of TCP/IP sockets, Process Creation,
Termination etc.
Must have experience in building multithreaded concurrent socket servers
Must have experience working with curses.
Must have good debugging skills, with ability to write clear and well
documented code.
Must be comfortable working in a UNIX/LINUX environment as well as
Windows.
Must have experience with relational databases, Oracle preferred
(PL/SQL stored procedures, packages, functions, triggers)
*Must have experience working in Oracle Pro*C and OCI.*
Must have experience in programming using Visual C#/Visual Basic .NET
Experience in interfacing with SAP using RFC’s preferred.
Experience working with barcode scanners, Label Printers, PLC’s, etc
will be helpful
Experience in designing easy to use Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs)
for end users will be a definite plus.
Must have demonstrated successful experiences working in teams
Must have an attention to detail Solid verbal and written communication
skills necessary
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Programming / *Coding, Debugging, UNIX/LINUX, Visual C#/Visual Basic .NET,
GUI, Oracle Pro*C and OCI.*
