*Desired Experience:* 3.00 yrs.
*General Description:* This position will primarily support TEMA’s North
American network fileshare and data storage environments for daily
operations, troubleshooting, architecture, design, and long term planning,
as well as provide support for the backup and recovery environment
including data recovery. A typical work day would include monitoring and
reporting on both environments while providing support on project and
request items as well as supporting outages and related countermeasures.
This is done through reviewing and prioritizing the daily work schedule,
monitoring and adjusting project schedules / open issues / action items,
preparing status updates on areas where improvement opportunities have been
discovered and require implementation, as well as contact with vendors on
work schedules, deliverables, architecture, and break fix items.
*Requirements/Must Have: *
· 3 years supporting enterprise storage systems from Hitachi and
NetApp.
· 3 years supporting enterprise SAN switching from Brocade.
· 2 years supporting NetBackup v7.x (3+ years preferred).
· 3 years supporting SAN attached backup & recovery devices (tape
drives, libraries, disk pools).
· 3 years supporting and managing remote sites and resources (5
years preferred).
· Strong verbal and written communications skills are required.
· 2 years of experience with various UNIX operating systems
required (3-5 years preferred).
· 2 years supporting project teams (internal / external) (3-5 years
preferred).
· 24 x 7 on call support is required. 10% of time supporting
weekend work and travel is required. Must be able to document environment
and repeatable processes. Must be able to document proficiently with
Microsoft Visio.
