Responsiblefor ensuring that storage, archiving, backup and recovery procedures arefunctioning correctly. Writes database documentation, including data standards,procedures and definitions for the data dictionary with some generalsupervision. Front-line interaction with users to assist with escalatedtrouble-shooting requirements. Conceptual Awareness and Limited/No practical Experience Entry level projectmanager who has completed a formal course in project management techniques,behavioural skills and have some team handling experience Will be responsiblefor smallon-critical projects with well defined scope and boundary, under thedirect supervision and guidance of line/practice manager. (Extent of supervisonand mentoring required will be high) Will be responsible for delivering theproject using organization project management/execution tools to effort, cost,schedule and quality Will be responsible for planning, tracking, reporting(internal and external) project performance (status and progress) on a periodicbasis Understand New Features in 10G. Generate Explain Plan, Interpreting TKPROFOutput. Interpret Statspack report. Familiar with init.ora parameters Create,Rename a database Partition Tables and Indexes Move databases between servers,plan and size databases. Re-org of Database. Refresh Database using coldbackup, Hot Backup & Export/import. Maintain Standby database. Manage OracleStreams. Troubleshoot CPU Load and resolve it. Generate Statistics for thetables, Partitioned tables, Subpartitioned Tables & troubleshoot issues relatedto Statistics. Troubleshoot issues like Database hanging, issues with undotablespaces, segments. Be able to Tune SQL, SGA. Perform Hot backup, ColdBackup. Export, Import Recover under Various Scenarious (like recovery acorrupted database when the db runs in archive log mode, Recovery a tables datawhen a user accidently drops it, etc). Skill2 - *Database Admin* Entry level position. Works under close supervision to perform low-leveldatabase management tasks such as adding users, managing space etc.Participates in testing back-ups, ensuring maximum up-time and maximumperformance of database. Familiarity with basic administrative commands isexpected at this level. Front-line interaction with users to assist with lowlevel trouble-shooting requirements. Skill3 - *Database Admin* Independently performs database management tasks such as controlling accesspermissions and privileges. Responsible for ensuring that storage, archiving,backup and recovery procedures are functioning correctly. Writes databasedocumentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for thedata dictionary. Train users on database methodologies. Responsible forrefining the 'logical design' so that it can be translated into a specific datamodel and further refining the 'physical design' to meet system storagerequirements. Plan data flows for a new or revised database. Guide new teammembers.
