The Java Developer is responsible for release design and planning and will support junior developers as they create code through supervision and code reviews. The Developer will also write Java code and must be expert in all aspects of Java including both front-end and back-end detailed design, development, and unit testing of all code developed. Additional responsibilities include documenting code developed and fixing bugs in the development for various applications. REQUIRED SKILLS: Software development process in an Agile development environment. Hands on experience with Servlets, JSP, EJB, Frameworks like Struts, JSF, Spring. Knowledge of ORM tools such as Hibernate or iBatis Java-based development and configuration management or Eclipse, JDeveloper, Ant, JUnit, PVCS and Subversion. Knowledge on one or more RDMS databases such as Sybase, Oracle or MySQL. Experience on developing web services using SOAP, WSDL, XSDs and REST. Working knowledge of industry standard development practices and concepts with one or more of these preferred technologies: SOA, UML, MVC.
