Ability to work independently on technical functions associated with creating and maintaining databases in one or more computing environments (e.g. Unix, z/OS, and Windows). Full knowledge of SQL including programming and ways to optimize SQL code. Expert in SQL-Server with a solid knowledge of RDBMS-specific tool and utility knowledge and experience in such areas as monitoring, database migration, DDL management and replication. Experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle. A sound knowledge of both database and system performance tuning. Experience in Oracle database administration a plus. Additional Skills Ability to build working relationships across the enterprise. Customer focus attitude. Be accountable for results- take ownership. Ability to solve problems quickly and thoroughly. Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Proven ability to establish and maintain a high level of user trust. Hiring Requirements/Qualifications Bachelor or technical degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other information management. Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience installing, configuring, tuning, and troubleshooting SQL Server 2008/2005 databases and one or more DBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.) is required.
