*Job Description*
Business Analyst will gather business requirements and participate in *end
to end support* of application delivery of various Business Intelligence
solutions. Perform data analysis and project delivery activities. Works to
resolve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision.
*Job Responsibilities*
- Act as a liaison between IT and the Business teams and develop a
strong relationship / partnership with the business and IT.
- Facilitates gathering moderately complex business requirements by
defining the business problem, identifying data requirements and isolating
data elements.
- Maintains and assists in the development of moderately complex
business solutions, which may include data, reporting, business
intelligence or analytics.
- Develops and maintains various project artifacts including but not
limited to: Business Requirements Document, Functional Specification
Documents, Business Process Flows, User Test Cases, etc.
- Assists in the creation/maintenance of project plans and maintaining
the project issues and risks logs
- Supports the technical teams in the elucidation of business /system
requirements and performing root cause analysis for issue resolution
- Leverages a basic understanding of multiple data structures and
sources (possesses a working knowledge of multiple data stores) to perform
moderately complex data manipulation using standard data extraction and
analytical tools and techniques.
- Develops intermediate business knowledge of the functional area and
processes to understand the application of data information to support
business function.
- Drive and reinforce organizational agreement on data definitions,
business rules, standardization of calculations, measurements and KPI
across the data warehouse and business intelligence platform.
- Supports the implementation of technical data solutions and standards.
*Minimum Requirements*
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
- 5+ years of experience in an analytical or technical support function.
- 2+ years' experience in an analytical or technical support function or
general data analysis/extraction experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Working knowledge of various SDLC methodologies
- Extensive experience working with data reporting/analysis tools
(Business Objects, Cognos, etc.) and relational databases (Oracle, SQL
Server).
- 5+ years of experience in identifying, documenting and analyzing
business and/or data requirements, documentation and all aspects of
traceability in an enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence
environment.
- *Aptitude in Business Intelligence, enterprise data warehouse
business architecture and ETL project life-cycle*
- Basic knowledge and understanding of various HIE policies and
regulations.
- Working knowledge of data extraction techniques and applications.
- Fast learner of technical and business concepts.
- Strong project and time management skills.
- Experience in application of innovative approaches to address business
problems and solutions.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
*ETL-BI-DWH Solution Architect*

As a member of the Business Intelligence (BI) team, the individual will be
involved in all phases of development and will need to have a very good
understanding of the requirements and work with the team to recommend the
most optimal strategy to implement them. The creation and maintenance of
product documentation will also be an important function of this resource.
*Tasks:*
· Create and maintain the project schedule
· Manage the day to day work of the BI team to ensure consistent
technical direction and maintain best practices in all phases of the
project lifecycle
· Analyze, document and communicate data integration requirements
related to BI needs and objectives, and coordinate requirements with data
owners and custodians
· Assess and propose solutions to improve the BI delivery
architecture to evolve with business needs, including recommending data
marts and data warehouse structures
· Establish and enforce standards to avoid redundancy and encourage
standardization and consistency among reporting products and processes
· Design and build data marts for BI reporting
· Design and build graphs, charts and advanced SQL statements,
develop scorecards, write and implement ETL scripts, tune tables and
scripts for performance
*Knowledge, Skills and Experience:*
· At least 5 years' experience developing *ETL scripts for BI products
(BODI, BODS)*
Experience in End-End Implementation
· Excellent analytical skills
Experience designing data models for 2+ large projects ($500K plus)
· Ability to convert business requirements into functional and
technical requirements
· At least 5 years' experience in various forms of data modeling,
including relational and star schema.
· Proficiency and demonstrated ability to design and develop
numerous graphs, charts and advanced SQL statements, develop scorecards,
create data structures to support requirements, write and implement ETL
scripts, tune tables and scripts for performance.
· Demonstrated versatility in assuming a variety of
responsibilities on BI projects, including hands-on project management,
customer communication, requirements analysis and coordination,
architecture design, and technical lead
· At least 5 years of progressive accomplishment as an expert BI
designer and developer, defining and implementing requirements across
multiple information technology platforms.
· Good Leadership skills, Strong client communication skills and
team mentoring skills
· Bachelor's Degree
