Please send the resumes at kiran.go...@ngtechinc.com *Job Title: Scrum Master Location: Madison, WI 53707Position Type: 6+ Month Contract* Job Description: Scrum Master for the DW team. * Serve as a scrum master for a team of business analysts, ETL developers, and dashboard developers within the Data Warehouse and Reporting Team (~10 people). * Work with program area leads and external customers to gather requirements to break the stories down and to help product owner with priority. * Work with other technical specialists to help prioritize technical needs in projects and define tasks and work breakdown for stories to complete the definition of done. * Develop, organize, and prioritize user stories and product backlogs. * Utilize Team Foundation Server to create and maintain the scrum team's project dashboard. * Monitor the progress of projects, stories, and tasks. * Help developers coordinate user acceptance testing to keep the story moving. * Provide status reports to team manager and other stakeholders following each sprint. * Facilitate scrum standup meetings and sprint planning. * Lead and participate in project development meetings, status report meetings, sprint planning sessions, retrospectives, products demos, and all other meetings concerning the group. * Help the team overcome constraints and impediments to complete stories in the current sprint. * Facilitate the team's use of the Scrum methodology and encourage the use and improvement of the team's related processes and procedures. * Utilize TFS to perform Source Control duties related to work completed by the team during the sprint. * Complete other duties, projects, or activities as assigned by the division administrator, management team, or project manager as they relate to the mission of the team. * Communicates with internal and external stakeholders in regards to sprint activities and general data warehouse updates and information. * Creates communications and/or updates team web pages with new information. * Presents ideas for discussion and provide recommendations for different initiatives. * Facilitate working sessions that explore opportunities and needs that relate to the data warehouse. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * MUST HAVE * Must have experience working as a scrum master for at least 2 different scrum teams. * Experience with Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies and practices for at least 2 years. * At least 2 years of experience using a tool (in our case Team Foundation Server) to maintain the project dashboard for the scrum team. * Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and both oral and written communication skills. * Strong ability and desire to work in a collaborative team environment. * Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. * Experience using database applications, reporting applications, office applications, and Google tools. PLUS * Certified Scrum Master * Knowledge and application of key data warehouse and decision support concepts including each phase of the data warehouse lifecycle. * Experience with SQL Server and Oracle database environments. * Knowledge of business intelligence, ETL, and reporting tools (SSRS, SSIS). * Ability to create and run SQL queries and use query tools (SQL Developer, SQL Server Management Studio). * Experience using data warehouse or analytical tools for business purposes. * Experience developing test plans and performing quality assurance testing to validate that the solution meets requirements. * General knowledge of education data as well as familiarity with federal and state laws and guidelines that protect student privacy and guide the use of educational data.
