Should be able to talk about clustering, racs, etc. The Senior Oracle Database Administrator is a highly skilled technical position that involves intricate knowledge of the Oracle database internals. May require on call responsibilities. Database configuration, tuning, maintenance, patching, and problem diagnosis and resolution are all critical functions that the database administrator performs. 1. Manage all aspects of the physical database including schema's, DDL, users, security, etc. in development, UAT and production environments 2. Identify and resolve problems occurring in all database environments including performance related issues (i.e. database & SQL tuning). 3. Perform database software installs, configurations, patches, and upgrades. 4. Support DBA utilities, reorgs, index builds, etc and DBA tools, Oracle Enterprise Manager, etc. 5.
