Title: Enterprise Architect Location: New York, NY Duration: 6-12 month contract *GC AND USC can only be considered* * THIS IS A SENIOR POSITION AND I NEED REALLY STRONG CANDIDATES. *******THEY MUST BE LOCAL FOR A FACE TO FACE****** Description The role requires solid experience in complex enterprise computing environments, deep systems level understanding and technical skills, strong market and ecosystem technology awareness, and excellent communication skills. *Skills Required * As this role is very technical and requires a high degree of complex stakeholder management, the skills of the individual are paramount to the success of the role. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical background, with an understanding of the industry, and skills in the development of infrastructure strategies in an environment that may often have conflicting business and technical requirements. *Deep Technical Skills* - The Enterprise Architect role requires a deep understanding of the enterprise computing space, including technologies such as cloud computing, virtualization, and grid computing. - In the cloud computing area, specific expert level knowledge about PaaS architectures. - Experience with Open Service Computing principles and mechanics. - Strong engineering experience in more than one of the following technologies: OpenStack, VMware vSphere, VMware vCloud Director, KVM, IBM Platform Symphony - Proven track record in a senior engineering and/or operational role, responsible for designing, architecting, and delivering products in an enterprise infrastructure organization - Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related quantitative field - 10+ years experience working with infrastructure technologies.
