Location: McLean, VA Duration: Contract until the end of the year 2 positions ROLE: Senior ERP Specialist *REQUIRED SKILLS*: - DB2 - 2Yrs - Systems Admin - 5 Yrs - SAP BASIS Admin 5Yrs - Preferred: - UNIX AIX 2Yrs *PREFERRED SKILLS*: Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent work experience. *RESPONSIBILITIES*: - SAP Basis Administration (60%) - Monitoring & Tuning (15%) - Database Administration (10%) - Application Deployment support (10%) - Level 3 Callout Support (5%) *SAP Basis Tasks*: - Install, configure, and administrate SAP R/3 Enterprise, Portal and CRM servers and application servers for all Release environments. - Install and maintain SAP Plug-ins and Industry Solution add-on components. - Install, configure, maintain, and monitor SAP's Internet Transaction Server (ITS). - Execute SAP homogeneous system copies and redirect restores. - Starting and stopping SAP servers. - Configure, manage, and monitor TMS (Transport Management System). - Export and import transports to downstream systems in landscape. - Client maintenance and administration. - System monitoring and performance tuning using CCMS and other tools (third party products). - Define and maintain operation modes and system profiles. - Background job configuration, monitoring, and maintenance. - Perform SAP R/3 maintenance (support package application, kernel and executable upgrades). - Perform SAP application upgrades. - SAP user and security management including creating users, roles, and profiles per requirements. - Configure SAP printers and maintain spool system. - RFC/ALE configuration/administration/maintenance. - Logon load balancing configuration. - Troubleshoot/debug system errors and ABAP short dumps. - Administrate/troubleshoot SAP R/3 logs, file usage, jobs, locks, and updates. - Provide SAP R/3 technical support to Business Process, Development, - Test, Training, Certification, Configuration Management, Operations, and Proof of Concept teams. - Production support. - System sizing. - Devise high availability strategy using Veritas. Configure and maintain high availability of systems. - Configure and support interfaces for products such as Tivoli, Informatica, and WTX. - Install and configure SAP Solution Manager - Support data loads. - Trouble Ticket, PTR, and CR support and execution. - Document all procedures, processes, installation prerequisites, installation guides, and system administration guides. *Database Tasks*: - Database administration and monitoring. - Perform scheduled backups of datafiles/archive logs and restoration/recovery of database, datafiles, tables, etc. - Capacity planning and performance tuning of database with respect to SAP applications. - Tablespace and container administration. - Execute database and fixpak upgrades. - Perform database reorganizations. - Maintain database profiles. - Perform database imports/exports. - Develop, test, and implement database backup and recovery strategy. - Resolve SAP database problems *OS Tasks*: - Perform all OS (AIX) related tasks related to installing and managing SAP applications. - Design file-system layout. - Define system users. *ADDITIONAL INFORMATION*: - Candidate must meet security clearance requirements - *U.S.** Citizenship is required*.
