Build libraries, user defined functions and frameworks around Hadoop. Evaluate and implement new technologies/tools/framworks around Hadoop eco systems, such as MapReduce, HDFS, Hive, HBase, Pig, etc. Work with Site Operations team on upgrades of the cluster. Participate in the installation, configuration and administration of a single-node and multi-node Hadoop HDFS cluster. Experience with AWS. Database background preferred. Education/Experience Requirements: Completion of commercial Hadoop based projects successfully. Advanced/expertise level knowledge of Hive. Experience with HDFS, MapReduce and HBase. Experience with UNIX based distributed systems. Experience in analysis, design, development and implementation of large scale produces and Java/J2EE projects. Team-player excited to work in a fast-paced environment. Agile experience preferred.
