Primary requirement is to create sophisticated, value-added analytic systems that support operational efficiency, regulatory compliance and research. This system must overcome issues of complex data (e.g., VLDB, multi-structured, “big data”, etc.) as well as deployment of advanced techniques (e.g., machine learning, text mining, statistical analysis, etc.) to deliver insights. Able to lead or work independently on complex projects and influence strategic direction. The RoleThe Senior Hadoop Application Developer provides design analysis, strategy and develops code for complex projects. The Senior Hadoop developer manages the review of code, design, and testing for junior level Application Developers. Also, the Senior Hadoop developer serves as a technical expert, coaches and mentors Application developers. *Key Responsibilities* •Critique and evaluate detailed business, functional, and high-level technical requirements (including scheduling, recovery, security and audit). •Evaluates detailed technical design components and acts as an expert in appropriate languages, data structures, vendor packages, techniques and design methods. •Maintain component design standards. •Design solutions for high-complexity projects. •Ensure that design reviews are scheduled and executed. Provide feedback and recommends solutions. •Assist with detailed project estimating and milestone planning. •Contribute to determining programming approach, tools, and techniques that best meet the business requirements. Promote and define development standards. •Perform coding of complex modules, as needed. •Act as technical expert for junior level application developers. •Ensure code review is conducted and certify that code meets quality standards.
