Job Title: MS SSRS Developer

Overview:
Responsible for collaborating with the SSRS {Microsoft’s SQL Server
Reporting Services (SSRS) 2008 R2} report designer, business analyst and
data analyst to resolve gaps in report design specifications and ensuring
these decisions are documented Designs and constructs under the direction
of the BI and data architects. Creates technical specifications to support
the processes. Has or develops strong knowledge of the source systems as
well as a thorough understanding of the target data models. Follows data
standards, resolves data issues, completes testing, and creates or updates
system documentation. *Looking for someone with mid-level experience, can
do some small amount of design work and then mostly developer work. Solid
understanding regarding Jiva's software tool data (i.e., ZeOmega’s Case and
Utilization management software); {HUGE PLUS}*
Role Description:
· Must have 3-5 yrs of SSRS & MDX report design and technical
specifications are complete, consistent, concise, and achievable.
o Produces SSRS- MDX 2008 R2 reports
o *Jiva's software tool data (i.e., ZeOmega’s Case and Utilization
management software)*
· Participates in system and integration test; identifies and
remedies solution defects.
o Validate that the business intelligence design and technical
specifications are complete, consistent, concise, and achievable.
o Responsible for collaborating with the BI architect, business analyst
and data analyst to resolve gaps in the design specifications and ensuring
these decisions are documented.
o Produces solutions meeting 100 percent of technical specifications and
business requirements according to the established designs.
o Proactive and diligent in identifying and communicating scope, design,
development issues and recommending potential solutions.
o Participates in design reviews.
o Conducts unit tests and code reviews.
· MUST HAVE Healthcare (Payer) experience is a large plus: Claims,
Providers, Members, etc.
· Work with business end-users to determine their reporting
requirements.
o Develop report design specifications.
o Proactive and diligent in identifying and communicating scope, design,
development issues and recommending potential solutions.
o Participates in report design reviews.
· Should have prior exp performing unit and system testing
· Knowledge of software development life cycle {SLDC}
· Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the
organization.
· Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and
effective communicator
· Good writing skills and ability to multi task in the support of
this project.
