Please send the resumes at su...@cncconsulting.com Job Title: Lead Business Analyst Location: Tallahassee, FL Duration: 4 Months The selected candidate will be assigned initially to analyzing the Department’s interface with the Florida Accounting Information Resource (FLAIR) system and then to analyzing other financial related systems owned by OOC or addressing the backlog of maintenance/enhancement requests for applications owned by OOC. The selected candidate will be given access to existing code, documentation and database structure and be required to identify basic business rules/logic and specific database actions. Deliverables from the analysis efforts should include system architecture diagrams, context diagrams and additional documentation detailing inputs/outputs, process hierarchies/flows and any needed functionality. Lead Business Analyst – Knowledge Skills and Abilities Ability to produce legible and complete functional documentation in a way that thoroughly captures all high-level business processes and inputs/outputs of the applications; Ability to analyze and accurately and completely define processes and workflows to design efficient information solutions, including missing or duplicate functionality in existing applications; Ability to work effectively with users and a project team, to identify and document requirements for the maintenance, enhancement or development of computer application systems, including technical overviews and context diagrams; Knowledge of relational database theories, concepts and access methods; Must be able to test complex applications and interpret whether requirements and design were met in the product; Ability to develop and manage information systems documentation in accordance with the Department’s standards; Advanced skills with Microsoft products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio. Knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of the system development life cycle; Ability to plan, organize, coordinate and prioritize work assignments; Ability to accurately estimate time requirements for assigned tasks for a project; Ability to evaluate computer application and system problems; Ability to relate to customers’ needs, document their requirements and perform duties in a service oriented manner; Ability to prepare complex computer program specifications; Ability to interpret and communicate technical information related to computer programming and data processing, both verbally and in writing; Ability to receive and give constructive criticism, and maintain effective work relationships with others; Must be able to perform QA reviews and provide valuable feedback in determining that standards are met and that documents are complete and comprehensive; Must be able to provide test cases or test scripts for large-scale projects using tools such as Team Foundation Server or writing/executing manual test cases. Knowledge Skills and Abilities – preferable but not required Knowledge of the Florida Accounting Information Resource (FLAIR) system, including transaction type details and interfacing methods; Basic knowledge of FOCUS and WEB FOCUS programming languages; Basic knowledge of mainframe computer systems and supporting software such as Customer Information Control System (CICS) and Time Sharing Option (TSO); Basic knowledge of the mainframe terminal emulation packages and scripting languages; Knowledge and specific experience with accounting or financial related systems.
