Position:- Unix/Linux Admin Location:- Achorage, AL Duration:- 6+ months *Job Description:* Senior Unix System Engineer Senior Unix System Engineer Description Seeking a Senior UNIX and Storage management engineer to operate within an outsourced contract. The candidate will work closely with senior technical architects, team leads and Client Subject Management Experts to manage the day to day operations, high level of data center quality, stringent SLA?s, for highly available applications. This position requires strong knowledge of Solaris 11 in a virtualized environment. Storage backend is NetApp. Candidates should be very experienced in large scale deployments. Support responsibilities include change requests, integration, troubleshooting, system patches, system upgrades, documentation, backup management, production/dev/test operations and scaling to meet demand. Expect to work with vendors to resolve problems via ticketing portals and escalating issues to other teams and/or management as needed. *Skill and Experience Details:* -->Unix Admin (L2)-Canditates should have worked in Unix/Linux Platforms like Solaris, HP-UX,AIX and Red Hat Linux. Should have Administrative expereince in Unix like UserManagement, Process & Daemon Management, Softwares (Patches & Packages) Management. Should have worked on Filesystems like Filesystems, Exporting & Mounting FileSystems, Recovering Filesystem Errors and Device Path Management.Should have worked on File Permissions. Should have worked on Performanceissues, Volume Managers & clusters.Knowledge of Disk Space Management, Performing user administration, performing System securit, configuring networkfile system and Auto FS. -->Unix Admin(L3)- -->Datacenter Implementation(L1)- -->Unix Admin(L1)- Candidates should have worked in Unix / Linux Platforms like Solaris, HP UX,AIX and Red Hat Linux. Should have worked in installing/Updating drivers & device files for devices like HBAs. Should have worked with Filesystems like creating Filesystems, Identifying the utilization of Filesystems, Filesystem Exporting & Mounting and device path monitoring. Should have worked on File & Directories permissions. Knowledge on Performance and Volume Manager is preferred.
