Position:- Release Engineer with TFS Admin Location:- Chicago, IL Duration:- 6+ Months *Job Description:* Release Engineer role responsibilities: - Has worked in a TFS environment and has good knowledge of the merging, branching and conflict resolutions concepts. - Have very basic experience with the TFS build template customization (not advanced) - Does not have experience with packaging (like WIX or Advanced Installer). - Does not have experience with NANT, have used ANT for Java builds though. - The Release Engineer will responsible for SCM build and Release activities - TFS, GIT, Code Repository, Build and Deployment Scripts and Processes. - Troubleshoot Build failures. Trigger of build failures. Attends bug scrubs. - Independently interacts with QA, PMO and Tech Support. Work on the Patch Requests. - Work according to project schedule. Participate and implements group decisions. - Looks at ways to improve and automate build and release processes. - Work on the Patch Requests assigned by others under close supervision. - Work according to schedule and Target Dates.
