Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Duration: 6 Months

Billing Rate: 50/hr c2c/1099 MAX AND BEST

The web team programmer/analyst 3 will support our existing website and
drupal/php environments – which consist of our madisoncollege.edu website,
Peoplesoft Portal pagelets, R25 spuds, various ancillary applications
developed in house, etc.  In addition, the programmer analyst 3 will be
actively engaged in two major projects:  implementation of a mobile based
front end to our Campus Solutions environment and a website redesign
project.
The website redesign project objectives include development of Drupal
templates, updating content, development and implementation of governance
and training related to content.
The mobile project is a third party application in a Linux/Apache
environment that utilizes web services to pull data from Campus Solutions.

Minimum Qualifications
2 or more years of Drupal development experience.
5 or more years of backend programming experience including  PHP, MySQL,
SQL.
5 or more years of front end programming experience including javascript
(jquery), CSS3, HTML5.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or any
related field from an accredited institution.
Independently performs a variety of complicated tasks, a wide degree of
creativity and latitude is expected.  Must have a demonstrated track record
of successful and accurate development.
Demonstrated outstanding:
Verbal and written skills; ability to explain ideas in a concise and
accurate fashion
Business analysis within technology systems; ability to translate business
needs into technical solutions.
Conceptual, problem solving and analytical skills; ability to use a variety
of tools to explain complex interactions between systems.
Familiarity with different software development methodologies.
Knowledge of development best practices.
Ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize multiple tasks and
projects.
Ability to work with technical staff and business customers to answer
questions and enhance requirements when needed .
Ability to capture, verify and mange requirements and requirement
traceability in support of product development, test and delivery.
Ability to work independently or as a member of a team on complex issues

Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain our drupal environment, including madisoncollege.edu.
Participate in the Web redesign and HighPoint mobile projects as
programmer/analysts, defining and completing quality development work on
time.
Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, workshops,
surveys, visits, business process description, use cases, scenarios,
business analysis as well as task and workflow analysis
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile
conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from
low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user
requests from the underlying true needs.
Proactively communicate and collaborate with faculty and staff to analyze
information needs and functional requirements and deliver artifacts as
needed.
Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of
how to interpret customer business needs in higher education and translate
them into technical and operational requirements
Appropriately manage multiple change requests across a variety of projects
and applications.
Protecting organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Accomplishing organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing
new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job
accomplishments.
Working well with cross-functional teams.
