Location : COLUMBIA, SC Duration: 4 Month Contract JOB DESCRIPTION: · SharePoint Architect/Developer with extensive experience with MS SharePoint will be provided to assist the South Carolina Department of Education’s (SCDE) Data Warehouse team with the setup and configuration of Microsoft SharePoint (MOSS version 2007) for use as the web interface for the data warehouse. · SharePoint will be used to build the web interface for the SLDS Data Warehouse. · The SharePoint Architect/Developer will be responsible for configuring SharePoint to work with the data warehouse. · Must have experience with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server and the .Net Framework · Weekly status reports · Work not to exceed 40 hours per week. · Minimum of 3 years experience as a SharePoint developer. · Program documentation as specified by Project Leader. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Setup User Accounts and rules to access to appropriate data warehouse assets. 2. Work with SCDE’s Data/Security Architect to develop code that will allow permissions and roles to be passed from SCDE’s single signon system to SharePoint. 3. Train SCDE’s Data Warehouse developers on how to best utilize the features of SharePoint to deliver data warehouse content. 4. Configure SharePoint to meet the requirements of the Data Warehouse as defined by the Data Warehouse team. 5. Perform a knowledge transfer that will allow SCDE’s Data Warehouse team to manage SharePoint and perform upgrades once this contract expires.
