*DataStage Lead Supervisor*

*Duration**: This is a 6 Mts CTH*



This is different than just a regular lead developer as they* MUST have
prior experience leading a team, performing peer reviews, conducting code
reviews as well as managing people on a project thru SDLC.* (software
development life cycle). The ideal candidate will have started off as a
DataStage developer and moved up the ranks.



*DataStage Lead Supervisor:*  will provide leadership, guidance, and
supervision to the staff of the assigned Application Development Team. To
organize, coordinate, and ensure that Team, Departmental, and Corporate
standards are adhered to by the assigned Application Development Teams for
both employees and consultants. To perform as an information liaison
between Corporate and Information Systems Senior Management, and the
assigned Application Development Team. To ensure the execution of the
Information Systems Strategic Plan by the following points:


*DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES *
*1. Responsible for the workflow activities of the assigned Team members
who evaluate the system impact of requests for new development projects.
*2. Provide courteous, professional, consistent, and timely feedback to
assigned Team members and Leadership in accordance with supervisory
guidelines, with respect to direct reports. Ensure Team member performance
by initiating appropriate coaching, mentoring, recommending staff training,
and implementing corrective action within area of responsibility.
*3. Establish and monitor activities, which will facilitate productivity,
efficiency and customer service during the completion of system related
projects. Ensure that the Team establishes and maintains contact with all
assigned Customers regarding workload and priorities.
*4. Coordinate the collection, interpretation, analysis, and organization
of information and data necessary to prepare requirements documents,
feasibility studies, and cost benefit analysis, which will result in the
implementation of projects (i.e. design, develop, test, install, training).
*5. Provide project planning, reporting, and resource support for assigned
Application Development Team. Monitor project scheduling, and perform
ongoing quality review checks to ensure quality implementation on finalized
Customer requirements.
*6. Ensure the Team's continuous interaction with other IS Teams and IS
Leadership to maintain data integrity, and to assure coordination between
IS efforts and the Customer's needs in order to expedite timely responses
and resolution of system problems/issues.
7. Ensure proper procedures are followed when requests are received for new
developments. Ensure that systems have conformed to Government Programs and
Regulatory Agency Standards, wherever applicable.
8. Assist with the preparation of the Annual Department Budget Proposal,
BPR Variance Report, and monthly contract accruals, as well as adhere to
the assigned budget categories.
10. Perform other related duties as assigned.
