*Job Title: Systems Engineer II* *Location: 633 17th Street, Suite 800 * *Denver , Colorado 80202 * *Duration: 2+ months * *CDLE requires additional Information Technology (IT) resources to support the IT objectives of the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). This position will provide administrative support to the VDI project. * *Selected consultant MUST have experience designing, developing, and implementing VDI from concept through test and production.* • Manage VMware Infrastructure/vSphere clusters on Production Test/Development environments • Fine tune VMs configurations to get the best performance/resource consumption • Detection of VMware issues, monitoring and ownership of standards and requirements • Participate in capacity planning for the infrastructure • Provide tools and procedures for resources provisioning • Experience with automating server builds and basic administration functions • Document the process and procedures • Propose VMs provisioning solutions to be analyzed and/or implemented • Capacity and performance monitoring and management for the VMware environment The position is responsible for the planning and engineering of an organization's systems infrastructure, including the implementation and design of hardware and software as well as monitoring the performance of systems. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 2 years or equivalent experience in the field or in a related area. Candidate should be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
