Qualified applicants must possess industry relevant knowledge in the field of disability management programs to include Workers’ Compensation Program, Return to Work, and Accommodation programs in support of Work Life Support Services to employees within the Information System Sector. The candidate must be able to perform effective case management services consistent with CMSA Standards of Practice to employees receiving disability benefits including workers’ compensation and disability benefits. Possess organizational and computer skills for timely resolution of employee matters within the scope of workers’ compensation programs and reasonable accommodation practices. Ability to perform independently, initiate and maintain correspondence with employees, insurance companies and healthcare providers. Key Functional Responsibilities include: • Reviews case records and reports, collects and analyzes data, evaluates client's medical status and defines needs and problems in order to provide proactive case management services and early return to work. • Render opinions regarding case costs, treatment plan, outcome and problem areas, and makes recommendations to facilitate Return to Work (RTW). • Facilitate timely return to work date by establishing a professional working relationship with the employee, physician, manager, and Human Resource Business Partner. • Maintains contact and communicates with insurance adjusters to apprise them of case activity, case direction or receive authorization for services. Maintains contact with all parties involved on case, necessary for effective case management services for the employee. • Routinely review files with claims adjusters. • Ensure the maintenance of accurate recordkeeping in compliance with OSHA requirements. • Possess knowledge of regulatory requirements for People with Disability (PWD) to include ADA, OFCCP, and FML. • Participate in the development of innovative accommodation solutions to support people with disabilities (PWD). • Contribute to other Work Life Support initiatives such as Health and Wellness programs. Basic Qualifications: RN license in good standing. Associate’s degree or relevant course work/certification in Nursing is required. Minimum five (5) years clinical experience preferably in Orthopedics, Neurology, Intensive Care, Occupational Medicine, or related health care discipline Minimum of three (3) years experience specific to Workers Compensation benefit programs. General working knowledge of case management practices and ability to quickly learn and apply workers’ compensation/case management services. Excellent oral and written communications skills to effectively facilitate return-to-work solutions within a matrix organization and ensure timely, quality documentation. Excellent analytical and customer service skills to facilitate the resolution of case management problems. Demonstrated ability to establish collaborative working relationships with claims adjusters, employees, Human Resource Business Partners and attorneys. Must be proficient with standard office PC software applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel). Manager can support either a part time person or a full time person. If there is someone that can only give 20/hours per week, she will look at the candidate.
