*Notes:*

·         *They need a very strong Administrator. NO development experience
at all.* So far, they have had candidates that are a mix of development and
administration, but this person needs *very strong administration skills*
and should be able to answer difficult questions surrounding SP
administration

·         Someone who has focused their career on SP administration

·         *Only 1 year of 2013 administration needed (More than that a
plus) 5-8 years of previous SP administration 2010, 2007*

·         *Needs more of a conceptual experience of SP administration more
than *



*technical*


·         *Coming from a larger environment would be nice*, someone who has
dealt with scaling out the service is a GREAT plus. Gilead is growing, so
they are moving to large platforms. *Pharma always nice, but certainly not
necessary*

·         *Must have good communication*, be a team player. This person
will be talking with users. Taking service tickets and conversing with the
customers. Must be able to communicate to end users the solution to the
problem

·         Must be great with documentation, must have experience with
process improvement

·         Joining a team directly of 5

·         *Must be on site at Foster City*



*Job Responsibilities, Duties:*

·         Responsible for ensuring system availability (uptime) and
performance of the SharePoint system

·         Responsible for incident and problem (tickets) management for
SharePoint by ensuring incidents and problems from all business units are
resolved quickly, completely and to the satisfaction of the customer

·         Ensure complete and accurate backups of the SharePoint Farm
happen on a regular schedule

·         Maintain, manage and report on the farm web, application, index,
query and database servers in accordance with best practices.

·         Develop and manage internal metrics and assist with initiatives
to improve the quality of Gilead’s SharePoint platform

·         Adhere to standards, policies, best practices and procedures
related to the support and operations of our SharePoint environment. Offer
suggestions and improvements for documentation and best practices. Document
solutions and operating procedures and train personnel on execution in
accordance with the procedures.

·         Follow administrator technical manuals and guidelines.

·         You should also be able to demonstrate good communication skills
in explaining the SharePoint features to end users and assisting end users
with utilizing SharePoint features and functions.

·         Responsible for build out/deployment of SharePoint sites to a
given specification and site structure complying with the System Governance.



*Knowledge, Experience, Qualifications, Skills:*

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent of work
related experience.

·         Must have a minimum of 3 years of SharePoint Administration
experience. MUST have SharePoint 2013 experience.

·         Good understanding of Windows Server 2008 R2, SQL Server 2012,
TMG Server, Active Directory, Firewalls, VDI's, Windows 7 or above and
Office 2010 and 2013.

·         Ideally have some familiarity with Responsive Web Design
Principles and Responsive Web development

·         Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and JQuery framework.  Additional
JavaScript framework knowledge is a significant plus.

·         Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint issues in a
Production (high-criticality) environment

·         Familiarity with a ticketing system. We use ServiceNow but
experience with ServiceNow specifically is not required.

·         Self-motivated, Customer and Delivery focused. Ability to convey
thoughts and ideas clearly and effectively in written and verbal form and
have an aptitude for problem solving.

·         Good knowledge of Power Shell commands for SharePoint 2013.
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, IIS.

·         Experience in backup and restore of the SharePoint portals, site
collections, sites, lists and libraries.  Experience with SnapManager is a
plus.

·         Microsoft SharePoint certification is desired, but not required

·         Demonstrated success in building effective and productive
relationships with business partners and IT team members

·         Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and
priorities

·         Excellent written and spoken interpersonal communication skills
