Here is the job description:

 

Title: Informatica PowerCenter Developer

Location: Plano, TX
Duration: 12 months

US Citizen, EAD or Green card holder required

Daily job duties: Candidate must have excellent verbal and written
communication skills in order to communicate with peers, business users and
technical users.  Candidate needs extensive experience working with
Informatica PowerCenter 8.6 or higher (as an administrator is highly
desirable).  The skills below are listed in priority order.  

1.1) Should have advanced to intermediate coding skills using PowerCenter
client tools in a UNIX environment.  

1.2) Should have UNIX/AIX korn shell experience creating scripts to call
PowerCenter workflows to execute using PMCMD commands.  

1.3) Should have good SQL skills on most major DBMS platforms including
DB2-UDB, DB2-ZOS, Oracle, SQL Server and Teradata.  

1.4) Should have Metadata Manager experience, extending the tool, and/or
pulling metadata from multiple databases and repositories (DB2, Oracle,
Teradata, SQL Server databases and Informatica, Microstrategy, OBIEE, CA
ERWIN repositories).  The remaining skills listed below are a plus and they
include 

1.5) PowerCenter administration experience in a highly available
environment.  

1.6) PowerExchange for VSAM and IMS experience.  

1.7) Informatica Data Explorer and Infromatica Data Quality experience.  

1.8) Being able to prepare and hold Informatica PowerCenter training.

1.9) Experience with configuring custom connects in Metadata Manager 

1.10) Integrating IDE, IDQ with Informatica Data Analyzer will be a plus.

Main skill set: Assisting Informatica Administration team with the
following: 

 

3.1) Work with project teams through ETL design and build phases
to ensure a well performing and successful deployment to production.  

3.2) Assist in the support of existing Informatica applications to help
application teams with existing production issues.  

3.3) Work with Metadata Manager development, custom connect development,
testing and deployment of scheduled updates (creation of best practices and
standards surrounding Metadata Manager is a plus).  

3.4) Use Informatica Data Explorer and guide developers to begin using the
product to profile source data.  

3.5) Use Informatica PowerExchange for VSAM and IMS to meet project
requirements and guide developers to begin using these products as needed.  

3.6) Assist with PowerCenter administration support as needed.

Daily responsibilities: This position is responsible for working with the
Informatica administration team and application project teams to ensure a
successful ETL implementation for new projects.  It also includes working
with existing application teams and support teams to assist with the
on-going support of applications running in a production environment.  The
position will also need to work on Metadata Manager tasks to help  with the
loading of metadata into the tool to be able to run impact analysis. The
candidate will be required to work with Informatica administrators, database
administrators, application developers, business analysts and Informatica
developers.
