We have an urgent requirement as follows: Please respond with Update resume for *vija...@avanitechsolutions.com <vija...@avanitechsolutions.com>* *Job Title: BI Developer* *Location: Detroit, Michigan* *Duration: 6+ Months* *Job Description:* *DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:* · Designs, prepares and publishes reports which provide required data to key decision makers and consult when requested on the results. · Assists in the design of the data warehouse. · Supports and enhances existing systems extracts, defining business requirements & creating/executing system test plans. · Liaises with and ensures that the IS Technical Development team provides cost effective, high quality solutions to meet the defined business requirements. · Evaluates and implements appropriate computer system software and related system technologies. · Executes approved corporate database analytical processes to generate complex business analyses for decision making purposes. · Trains business-users in the use of BI tools (or trains the trainer). · Acts as a liaison to the business-user community, promoting the use of the data warehouse and its associated tools. · Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC’s mission. · Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required. *SKILLS:* · Expertise in using query/report writing software tools that interface with IT systems required. · Strong communication skills required. · Expertise in data analysis required. · Expertise in writing store procedures in Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL required. · Expertise in data warehousing concepts and business process analysis rrequired. · Strong understanding of Windows server and network technology required. · Excellent project management skills required. · Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint required. *EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:* · Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Computer Science preferred · 3+ Years experience with Business Objects Suite 4.x (Crystal Reports, Web Intelligence, Dashboards/Design Studio, Mobile) · 3+ Years experience working with relational databases (preferred SQL Server 2008r2 +) and SQL preferred · 3+ Years experience writing T-SQL procedures, functions, views · Any experience with .Net / Java development.
