Position Description:

The Prime Brokerage Transaction Processing team is a core function within PB
IT and responsible for the planning and delivery of all transaction
processing related projects. The current focus of this team is the front to
back implementation of the new and strategic transaction processing engine.

The primary objective of this role is the proactive investigation, collation
and analysis of PB transaction processing related requirements.

The areas of focus include:
Collecting and consolidating requirements, across all relevant business
areas, to provide a single statement of requirements to be delivered by the
transaction processing program
Modeling the future state front-to-back transaction processing flows
Managing the relationship between the Prime Brokerage IT team and key
stakeholders in the program
Producing analysis and design documentation
Liaising with development and testing teams to ensure successful
implementation of the requirements.

The business analyst acts as a bridge between the business and IT
organization, and provides a central contact point during the analysis,
design, development, testing and implementation phases. Your job will
involve working with:
Business users: Interacting with internal users to understand and analyze
requirements and review the proposed solution to ensure that it meets the
requirements
Software Developers to understand the front to back solution and any
technical limitations
Project Managers to help prioritize and plan the delivery of multiple
projects
Quality Assurance staff to ensure the quality of the functional solution
delivered

This is a broad, challenging role that requires a combination of business,
product and technical knowledge, coupled with strong client-facing and
interpersonal skills.

Additional Information:

Minimum 5 years experience in business process/IT analysis, design and
implementation
Track record in analytic problem solving and methodical (stakeholder)
management approach, in complex project environments
Driven, professional and pro-active "hands-on" team player
Excellent communication skills; Strong Business Analysis skills, including
gathering requirements and writing functional specifications
Ability to communicate requirements in a clear manner that can be easily
interpreted
Experience with tools for business analysis, change and defect management
Participation in front-to-back implementations across the project lifecycle
within an investment bank
Proactive problem and task management
Appreciation for the fundamentals of at least one of the following
functions: Prime Brokerage, Transaction processing, Straight through
processing
Advanced Excel and some SQL query skills
University Degree in Finance/Economics/Technology/Business Administration
