Sr. Java “Developer” / “Architect” with Hbase and ElasticSearch experience Rochester, MN 18+ Months Contract Need Sr. Java “Developer” / “*Architect” with Hbase and ElasticSearch* experience Client is seeking to expand Enterprise Information Management (EIM) and Development Practices by adding experienced Java developers/Architects with Java, Web Services, Spring experience and STRONG Sr. Java Developer/Architect with some Big Data expertise (HBase, ElasticSearch, YARN, etc.). Candidates will join/LEAD a team implementing the next generation of healthcare data exchange and integration standards bringing modern web standards and web-scale systems to the healthcare industry. These systems will enable real time decision support in the clinical environment and deep analytics in clinical research. Candidate must possess experience and seasoned expertise developing ReSTful web services in Java using NoSQL storage technologies HBase and ElasticSearch. The system will run in a hybrid environment, and experience implementing on-cluster applications using YARN or similar is key. (This is a senior Level Developer/Architect role) Experience integrating healthcare data, especially HL7 formats, is highly desirable. Developers will need to be comfortable working on a fast paced team, be able to work independently with short time to productivity, and show technical leadership in their primary area of expertise. While the role is largely technical, communication with both technical and business stakeholders is critical to project success, and candidates may be asked to review and present technical achievements with a variety of business stakeholders. Candidate must possess hands-on experience and a strong expertise with the following technologies: *HBase* *ElasticSearch* *Java, Spring* *Big data computing such as YARN or Spark* *A Big Data distribution, prefer HortonWorks* *Implementation experience with SOA and RESTful web services* Extensive knowledge integrating data from Relational and NoSQL database technologies.
