*Role: Windows System Administrator* *Location: Cedar Rapids, IA* *Duration: 12+ Months* *JOB DESCRIPTION:* The primary role of this position is the global support and maintenance of multiple Infrastructure components that the Desktop teams rely on which include SCCM infrastructure, Citrix XenApp, Login script management, Desktop OS Base build management, VMWare Virtual desktop environment. This position will also provide third level Incident and problem management resolution to business units and employees. *Primary Duties and Responsibilities:* • Monitor tasks to pro-actively review and maintain the desktop infrastructure, and where possible, develop automation tasks to improve organizational efficiencies. • Create & support complex scripts, global policy objects, and/or customs actions utilizing programming scripts, SQL, or other coding languages for the desktop environment with no assistance. • Install, troubleshoot and manage complex application, integration management, and desktop issues associated with packaging and deployments for both the physical and virtual desktop environments. • Install and configure complex desktop and server software components with no assistance. • Work with first/second level teams, 3rd party, and vendor support teams, to resolve complex issues with little to no guidance. • Provide consultation, as the operational owners, during the design and implementation of new strategic desktop platforms and products. • Implement, support and document complex tools and utilities to automate desktop tasks and actions. • Create and manage the desktop Microsoft Active Directory Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and upgrading core system software in accordance with each application’s life cycle. • Exhibits regular, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance. • Confirms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction and all safety rules. • Other duties as assigned based on divisional needs. • This position will have expert knowledge of hardware and software components, with five or more years of experience. • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience is required. • Experience related to Microsoft SCCM. • Experience troubleshooting Citrix with understanding of Citrix infrastructure. • Strong documentation standards. • Experience with Group Policy Objects. • Experience with Active Directory. • Ability to communicate in an understandable, polite manner, both written and verbal • Strong Incident and problem management skills • Working knowledge of SQL for reporting, VBScripting and PowerShell • Proficient understanding of firewalls and firewall rules • Strong understanding of virtualization solutions such as AppV, VMware, XenApp and XenDesktop. • Able to assess, implement, and document, complex tools and utilities to assist in troubleshooting. • Ability to work independently and manage projects with minimal assistance throughout a project life cycle, as well as collaborate with engineering on new initiatives. *Preferred Qualifications:* Related certifications (ITIL, MCP, MCSE, Citrix, etc.) are preferred • Some travel may be required • Support on-call rotation 7 x 24 x 365 Thanks and Regards *Todd * Ph: 630-315-9525 || Email: todd_pa...@aesinc.us.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP BASIS" group.
