*QA Automation Developer w/ QTP* *Holmdel, NJ * *Long Term* The individual should be self-motivated, creative and proactive, to work successfully in a fast-paced environment including multiple environments and architectures, diverse technologies and lab environments. The individual will work closely with testers, project managers, network engineers and other stakeholders throughout the SDLC, executing test iterations, tracking / reporting results and troubleshooting. The individual should have an understanding of SDLC processes and the QA lifecycle and methodology. *Responsibilities:* Interact with product management, project management and test teams to develop a strong understanding of the project and testing objectives Design and create test conditions and scripts to address business and technical use cases Use existing tools and techniques to execute test cases and build/script new tools for performing testing/validation function Develop the automation strategy/effort and generate scripts to perform automated testing using (primarily) Mercury Interactive/Client products (ALM/Quality Center, QTP, etc), Selenium, Empirix (G5 and FX-TDM) Develop scripts, utilities, simulators, data sets and other programmatic test tools as required for test automation Execute and analyze automation test results Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution Document, track and escalate issues as appropriate, using Quality Center or similar tools/means Support testing and/or application deployment during the off-hours for "validation testing” *Requirements:* 10+ years of relevant work experience in software and/or test automation development Excellent verbal and written communication skills Good software development/scripting skills in common languages like VB, JAVA, PERL ,C++, and/or bash, etc. Database skills (SQL), mainly in Oracle and SQL Server Good experience with different Operating Systems, with emphasis on Linux and Windows variants Good understanding of object oriented programming Knowledge of automated testing tools, like QTP, Selenium, SoapUI, Empirix (G5 and FX-TDM), etc. Must demonstrate an understanding of IP and VoIP networking, protocols such as HTTP/HTML and SIP, various web browsers, firewalls, routers, Apache, Weblogic, etc. Must be flexible, independent and self motivated All work to be performed on site B.S.
