*Role: C# DeveloperLocation: Brooklyn, NYDuration: Full Time (Permanent Position)* *Job Description:*The Max Recovery technology team is seeking a Senior Application Developer who will work with Front and Middle office users to analyze business problems, design new business processes, and develop software to automate those processes. Max Recovery business purchases consumer credit accounts where debtor has filed for bankruptcy. The Max Recovery Technology team services all aspects of the business front-to-back, including deal origination, asset loads, bankruptcy event and cash management, reconciliation and valuation. The ideal candidate should have a passion for technology, excellent problem solving skills, is interested in working in a team environment. The candidate must be able to effectively communicate with technology and non-technology team members. The primary focus of the role will be leading the completion of the project to bypass the current sub ledger used by the Max Recovery business and feed the general ledger directly allowing for streamlined middle office processing. *Primary Responsibilities:*Working with development team to envision the changes within the Max Recovery application stack to accomplish the strategic objective of directly feeding of the general ledger. Work with middle and back office to determine necessary changes to their processes, get buy-in, develop test plans, and coordinate testing and tie-out. Face off with downstream systems to coordinate changed/new feeds. Develop the changes working with ASP.NET, Java, and Sybase Oversee work of other developers *Job Qualifications:*A minimum of 7 years professional experience writing software using C# Experience running complex projects with many stakeholders Working knowledge of accounting principles and sub ledger systems Experience with full application development lifecycle (analysis, architecture, design, development, testing and deployment) Should be strong in .Net/C# as this is the strategic technology platform for the team – some experience with Java is also advantageous as some of the legacy code in the system is on this platform.
