Please find the requirement below and send your resumes to m...@gensolinc.com Job Title : Project Manager Location : Fort Worth, Texas (Local Candidates preferred) Duration : 18 Months Rate : Open Exp level : 5+ Yrs *JOB DESCRIPTION :* The Sr. Project Manager will work with the Technical lead/team, to plan, create, coordinate, and manage the project activities, plans, budget, resources, etc. of Desk Top Application (hardware/software) deployment projects. The PM is responsible for the identification, reporting, and resolution of risks and issues, as well as documenting mitigation plans. PM will provide project oversight and ensures compliance to American Airlines structured development methodology. The PM will supervise the packaging, quality assurance and conflict resolution, integration testing, model office production staging, and deployment readiness of COTS and proprietary software. Additionally the Sr. Project Manager will support the Desktop Service Team in transitioning from a deployment role to a service delivery role. *RESPONSIBILITIES :* •Provides structured project management practices to the technical lead/team, and works in conjunction with the Program Manager and Delivery Project Manager to ensure that Desk Top Applications project objectives and milestones are met. •Creates, maintains, communicates, and tracks project activity progress through Project Plans. Interacts with technical teams and business units to ensure necessary activities are completed. •Creates and implements project communication plans to ensure results are achieved via the clearly defined process and supporting staff are communicating well. •Utilizes standard project management tools and procedures (SDLC, MS Project, Visio, SharePoint, Office 2007). •Coordinates and leads weekly project status meetings. •Estimates the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. •Assists technical team in design and development tasks. •Delegates tasks and responsibilities to appropriate packaging personnel in accordance with skills. •Coordinates delivery of development and (alpha and beta) end-user testing of production releases. •Assists test team in creating test plans and coordinates testing efforts. •Schedules and assigns tasks to software packaging engineers. •Quantifies each step of packaging in concrete terms with dates for stages of completion. •Coaches, mentors, motivates, and supervises project team members and influences positive action and accountability for assigned work *TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS :* •Knowledge of Admin Studio Workflow Manager •Be able to solicit, collect and rationalize software •Prioritize multiple software titles in response to changing conditions in the organization *Preferred Qualifications:* •Intimate knowledge of Windows XP and Windows 7, and an understanding of their differences. •Working knowledge of FlexNet Admin Studio, InstallShield, Power Shell, VB scripting, MSI packaging concepts, and MS Windows Installer technology. •Understanding of group policies, how they are applied, and how they support a managed environment. *PROJECT MANAGEMENT QUALIFICATIONS (5+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE):* •IT project management experience with an emphasis on large infrastructure deployments with an emphasis on Apps Cert. •Analysis, design, and deployment experience. •Documented project management skills with ability to multitask and manage large projects in a cross-functional environment. •Ability to blend creativity, problem solving, and technical skills for refining existing theories or developing new system approaches to seize opportunities and sustain business success. •Ability to lead and motivate team and to apply skills and techniques to solve dynamic problems. •Excellent written and verbal English language skills required. •Ability to present and explain technical information to a non-technical audience in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others and gains understanding. •Apply communication skills to meditate disputes and uncover hidden objections or concerns that team members may be reluctant to share. •Proficiency in project management techniques and tools - MS Project, Visio and MS Office required. •Ability to communicate status, schedules and needs to IT and clients, as well as ensure that plans are in place and standards are adhered to. •IT project management with direct business unit and external partner experience (with sensitivity and commitment to business problem solving). •Demonstrated capability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence. •Strong customer focus and ability to manage client expectations. •Attention to detail (both technically and from a structured project management perspective). •Must be able to concurrently handle multiple responsibilities. •High degree of initiative. Highly motivated. •Ability to understand the airline industry from a business perspective. •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline with an information technology focus or equivalent work experience. •Project Management Certification preferred. •SharePoint workflow experience preferred. *Kindly fill the skill matrix below.* Qualification Rating Active Directory 0+ Yrs.
