Job Title: Network Admin
Location: Clemson, SC
Duration: 6 Months
Monitors, troubleshoots and maintains network (LAN, WAN and wireless)
multiplexers, hubs and routers, and uses remote monitoring tools. The
duties of this position can be broad and may include such tasks as
installing new workstations and other devices, adding and removing
individuals from the list of authorized users, archiving files, overseeing
password protection and other security measures, monitoring usage of shared
resources, and handling malfunctioning equipment. Selects, develops,
integrates and implements network management applications for internet
components.
Responsible for planning, implementing, designing, analyzing, and
maintaining moderately complex network infrastructures.
Identifies resources required for network designs including upgrades,
expansions, and enhancements. Configures and installs network hardware and
software to meet requirements and conform to technical design standards to
provide reliable network access to all users. 50%
Analyzes network efficiency by conducting network tests and running
diagnostics to forecast performance thresholds. Monitors and reports on
network traffic, usage, and performance. Reviews network changes and trends
in order to forecast future needs. 30%
Effectively handle day-to-day network issues. Work with CCIT staff,
computer consultants and vendors to resolve problems quickly and minimize
downtime. Creates and maintains proper documentation. 20%
