* * * * *Position: UNIX Administrator* *Client: Sacramento* *Location: CA* *Duration: 3+ Months* *Rate: $40/hr C2C* ** *Preferably Locals* *Job Description:* Ø This candidate will primarily be working on IBM/AIX and Sun/Solaris systems. Ø They will be responsible for monitoring and managing our systems and performing routine system changes and upgrades. Ø They will also be responsible for implementing and documenting security best practices in AIX and Solaris environments. Ø Installing hardware, creating LPARS, and Zones and documenting system configurations. Ø Must be comfortable working independently to complete assignments with instruction limited to results expected. *Required Skills:* Ø 5 years experience supporting AIX and Solaris systems in a production environment Ø Experience working with Storage Area Networks, centralized storage devices, and IBM SVCs. Ø Knowledge of AIX LPAR functionality, VIO server configurations and Sun Zones. Ø Strong scripting skills and the ability to automate routine processes. Ø Familiarity with Change Management processes and good communication skills. *Preferred Qualifications:* Ø Experience integrating UNIX systems into an Active Directory environment Ø Experience implementing or supporting an IBM Power HA clustered environments. Ø Experience with IBM’s TSM software. Ø Experience supporting an SAP environment.
