Duration: 6 Months contract to hire. *Overview of Job:* * * The Applications Developer reports to the Manager of Applications Development. The position ddesigns, configures, modifies, develops, writes and implements software applications. Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems. Participates in the testing process through test execution, analysis and certification of software. Designs, plans, and coordinates work teams. Provides technical support to project team members. *Essential Functions:* · Analyzes Business requirements and develops application designs application protocols and models · Documents the software design products. · Performs development, configuration or customization of internal applications · Prepare deliverables to support the development and deployment of the solution such as application guides and test plans · Develops training material for applications · Develops reports · Develops software quality test plan and performs the installing, configuration, and execution of test procedures to troubleshoot isolate and identify software defects. · Identifies, analyzes, and documents defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in software program functions, outputs, and content. · Documents, tracks, and communicates test plans, test results, analysis, and unresolved problems. · Performs in a team-lead role effectively managing multiple priorities for a team of application developers · Facilitates and guides initiatives for improving development processes · Understands high level business requirements and produce technical specifications, designs and architectures · Works with other teams members effectively and with minimal supervision * * *Education, Skills and Experience:* * * *Education:* BA or BS degree in computer science or a related technical degree *Experience:* Hands on experience in the following tools or technologies: Windows 2003/2008 Server and Windows XP/ 7, IIS/ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server, Microsoft.Net, HTML, JavaScript, VBScript, XML, SSL, and Experience with Crystal Reports and SQL Reporting Services. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
