Looking candidates local to OH* *Com Skills MUST be excellent* *Skills Must be Proven.* *Position Title:** AIX Administrator* *Required Skills:* 4+ years of experience in a Systems Administration role 3+ years of experience with AIX Experience with Power Virtualization Experience patching, installing and configuring applications Experience troubleshooting different issues and problems as they arise Some scripting experience is required Experience to PCI and/or SOX compliance regulations Experience documenting different systems and processes Must be available for an on-call rotation (minimal calls) Must be able to work well in a team environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills *Desired Skills: * Performance tuning experience Exposure to Puppet Oracle 11c & 12c experience Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar field of study *Description of Role/Responsibilities: * We are looking for a mid-level AIX Systems Administrator to immediately join a well-known company in Columbus, Ohio. This person will be working from a ticket queue to troubleshoot different issues as they arise. The most common issues include: patching, upgrading, installing and configuring. Ideal candidates will have been in an Oracle environment and have some scripting experience. The group is currently documenting and transitioning certain items to the Operations team. Another major focus for the company as a whole is their PCI compliance processes.
