Title : Performance Tester Location : Va (Local candidates preferred at first) Duration : 6+Month Contract – Possibly to hire only EAD,GC or US Citizens Generic Purpose [Enter 2-3 sentences about the position overall] To plan, execute, and analyze various performance tests to determine the system’s ability to meet SLAs for production release, and scale to support forecasted growth rates. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Develop and maintain automated test scripts for PeopleSoft Applications using Oracle Load Testing Set up and execute load, stress, endurance, and boundary scenarios Monitor and analyze test results during and after performance tests, utilizing performance monitoring tools Develop detailed test plan and test data requirements (e.g. manual, load, batch, etc) Adjust test plan / test schedule as necessary Coordinate with multiple IT teams to troubleshoot issues (e.g. Infrastructure Team, DBA, Development Team, etc) Validate and coordinate execution of tests with various external 3rd party vendors Track and communicate testing status and metrics to Test Manager (e.g. performance degradation, defects, test results, etc) Ability to perform under an aggressive timeframe Maintain flexible work schedule that may be driven by test environment availability Be able to work independently with minimal direction and collaboratively within a team Qualifications Education 4 year degree or equivalent Work Experience 4+ years of hands on experience with Oracle Load Testing or equivalent performance testing tool 4+ years experience of delivering web based applications and System Development Life Cycle Experience with all components of application architecture including web tier, application tier, database tier, and networking in order to facilitate performance troubleshooting Proven ability to collect performance baseline data and to do initial root cause analysis based on performance testing data Experience interfacing with developers and external 3rd party vendors Experience developing test cases, test scripts, and test data from business requirements Experience working concurrently with multiple code baselines Experience and knowledge of testing methodologies/approaches and best practices Job Skills: [What proficiencies are required to be successful?] Oracle Load Testing or equivalent performance testing tool Oracle Test Manager or equivalent test management tool Java Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) Strong analytical skills and ability to think outside the box Detail oriented Preferred Skills/Experience: PeopleSoft, VMWare, Oracle Database / SQL Commands, Higher Education Industry Experience Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to communicate test results to technical and non-technical audiences ---------------------------------------------- Warm Regards , Shawn Lee VantageForce Inc. 10400 Rodgers Road Suite 150 Houston, Texas 77070 Direct : 201-710-8278 sh...@vforceinc.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP BASIS" group.
