Work can be done onsite / offsite. Client prefers local candidates or candidates that are based in the EST or CST time zones. Occasional trips to the client’s offices in PA will be required.* *Assignment Length: 6 months initially with likely extensions (multi-year program) Interview: Phone & F2F Client: Health Care Industry * *The client only wants to see candidates who’s most recent project was working for a big healthcare / insurance company, such as Blue Cross Blue Shield, Optum, United Healthcare, Humana, Cigna, Aetna, etc.* Additional comments from the hiring manager for the Data Analyst role: In addition to the skills listed below, the client is looking for a Data Warehouse expert, someone who “lives and breathes data warehousing”. He wants someone who has strong data analysis skills, understands what information is included in Payer data and also the what the data means. He wants someone who knows where to find the data, someone who can show how the data works, knows what the data means and knows how to use the data for analysis based on the business requirements. He wants someone who knows and understands source to target mapping, who understands the tables, the data maps and someone who can write the mappings. He wants someone who has strong technical skills but also understands the *BUSINESS* of healthcare. *Job description*: The Senior Healthcare Data Analyst will perform the detailed data profiling, source to target mapping and assist with the testing work in support of the data warehouse integration and reporting activities. The individual should possess the following skills: · Previous experience performing data profiling of source systems and source to target mapping to a data warehouse model is a must (with healthcare payer data and/or clinical data) · Strong hands on experience with SQL queries using databases such as, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 and Vertica is required · Deep understanding of ETL and how to write transform scripts · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Must be a team player. This role is central to the overall DW team · Strong organizational skills, documentation skills are required.
