Experience with an environment that includes a catalog management or PIM solution is highly preferred. The Senior Websphere Application / Commerce Administrator role is an integral component of Corporate’s Web Delivery team. The WebSphere Application / Commerce Administrator must have extensive product knowledge on installs, configurations, and the maintenance of e-commerce sites using IBM WebSphere Commerce V6.0 – V7.0. This administration professional has a general awareness of how the product components interact and the capabilities of the components, as well as the configurations and architecture of development, staging and production systems. The Senior Websphere Application / Commerce Administrator is responsible for proactive and reactive troubleshooting, monitoring and maintaining existing Websphere Application Environment. The administrator performs the installation, configuration, and day-to-day tasks associated with ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a WebSphere runtime environment. This includes the design and implementation of infrastructure from specifications, configuration and deployment of applications, connecting to back-end resources, and advanced troubleshooting of moderately complex software applications. This role requires the candidate to be highly flexible in hours of work because of its customer-facing, highly available infrastructure necessity. This position will interface with other teams, i.e. Linux Adminstration, Oracle Database Administration, Enterprise Architecture, Vendor Management Office, and Security, required to maintain the environments. Successful candidates will also have excellent communications skills, and will have experience in working in a matrixed team environment. You will provide Websphere Administration mentoring / coaching to other Corporate resources. Overall objective of the Senior Websphere Application / Commerce Adminstrator role is to ensure that all environments are maintained and available according to established Service Level Agreements with minimal business disruption. Primary location for this job will be in St. Louis, however this role will require some travel within North America (up to 25%). *Principal Responsibilities and Requirements:* • Deployment, administration and operational support of (production, staging, test and development) environments for multiple projects using WebSphere Application Server, Websphere Commerce Server, and Message Queue • Experience with Catalog Management or PIM solutions is highly preferred • Maintain environments by applying necessary fixpacks/feature packs • Must be able to create and execute complex SQL statements • Strong scripting skills • Knowledge of Staging propagation and workspaces • Configure IBM WebSphere BANDDS build & deployment tool for Commerce applications or WCBD • Understanding of IHS and proper processes for customer facing SEO configurations • Under general direction, devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems • Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications server activities • Remains current with emerging software enhancements, security patches and bug fixes • Monitor application server performance and respond appropriately • Modifies, installs, and prepares technical documentation for system software applications • Work with the development staff to determine project requirements for test/production environments *Professional Skills Requirement:* • Excellent organizational and task management skills, including ability to execute and prioritize a number of tasks simultaneously • Strong experience working in a matrix environment • Excellent communication skills including strong presentation / communication / facilitation skills (oral and written) • Innovative, flexible, and adaptable • On-Call support • Customer-focused • Results oriented, detailed and analytical with the ability to lead others • Excellent relationship management, interpersonal, conflict and negotiation skills • Able to work in a team environment. *Education:* • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer engineering or similar discipline • Master’s degree is a plus • Websphere Commerce certification is a plus *Experience:* • *8 – 14 years of experience in technology, business, management or project leadership* *Important Note: Please submit your own W2 Consultants.* “Aptude Inc. likes to deal with vendors that hold candidate’s visas.
