Please let me know if you have any consultant for this position, Please share it on [email protected] *Title: QA Specialist* *Location: Chicago, IL Type: 6+ month Contract/C2H Start: ASAP* The QA Specialist is responsible for analyzing and testing quality across all deliverables from the technology team. They create comprehensive test cases, perform thorough tests, and log detailed defects. Essentially, the QA Analyst attempts to find everything wrong with sites prior to launch or any ongoing updates. *Responsibilities:* - Write test plans based on internal standards and project requirements. - Maintain a set of testing tools and standards that are re-usable across projects. - Work closely with technical architects and developers to ensure test plan effectiveness. - Execute test plans and report and track issues. - Work closely with project and account teams to coordinate acceptance testing (including clients and external resources). - Interface with the delivery team regarding the resolution of issues. - Ensure all projects meet the specified functional requirements. - Work one-on-one with developers to work through issues and provide ongoing feedback. - Create, update and manage test cases. - Test for design, navigation and behavior consistency and flow. - Report on progress findings on an ongoing basis. - Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions as required. - Understand the customer's needs and reflect this knowledge during test case execution and defect investigation. - Proactively communicate risks to internal teams or client. *Qualifications:* - 3+ years’ experience in automated Software QA and Testing. - A bachelor's degree and/or 3+ years’ experience in a related field. - Previous experience working in Agile/SCRUM environments. - A demonstrated understanding of the development life cycle and how QA fits into the process. - Extensive experience working on all stages of Testing Lifecycle from definition of plans through defect follow-up and reporting. - A demonstrated understanding of front-end and back-end technologies and how they fit together. - Basic HTML skills are a must. - Experience in Cross-Browsers / Mobile testing. - Experience in automated testing tools to support and assist the company testing effort (Selenium, Eggplant, Groovy). - Familiarity with a defect tracking system, preferably JIRA.
