The computing environment includes Microsoft Windows, Linux, and OpenVMS systems. The applications are manufacturing and business supporting. A wide variety of technologies are implemented. This position requires technical experience with .NET code development utilizing a SQL Server database, ASP, Java Script, C#, SSIS, TFS, AJAX, and JQuery. The candidate must independently resolve process control crisis situations. Other requirements are to lead root cause analysis and resolve application or business problems. Enhance the process control environment as directed. Develop testing and validation procedures. Assure testing methods are adequate to achieve customer expectations. Implement changes in a manner that does not negatively impact on-going manufacturing. Assist in achieving service level agreements and targets. At least 2+ years of manufacturing experience is required preferably in a seamless tube production process. Excellent customer service skills working with all levels of customers from top management to represented employees. Candidate must be willing to participate in 24x7 coverage of plant operation. At times a flexible schedule is required to implement changes or perform other job requirements after normal work hours or on weekends. T*he ideal candidate will have:* - Experience working navigating manufacturing areas safely - Knowledge of the business and manufacturing processes at Fairfield Works - Knowledge of the systems and applications currently supporting the operation - Have experience with the OpenVMS operating system including Fortran, Basic, RDB, and CDD - Have experience with the Linux OS and Oracle database programming and administration - Have experience interfacing computer systems to intelligent devices such as PLCs, product tracking sensors, and other computer systems *Specific Experience Required:* Under general supervision, support and enhance the production computing environment.
