Senior C++ Software Developer Summary The Software Developer is responsible for developing .NET and unmanaged C++ web/windows software solutions. This development will be based on functional specifications or instructions from Project or Product Management or Senior Development leads. The Software Developer is expected to produce high-quality software, to function effectively as a member of a team, to interact with Project Management and other members of the development group, and to continually seek to improve themselves and the company. Essential Functions The Software Developer must be able to write quality software based on the provided designs and specifications, within reasonable timeframes, and to be effective members of their department and company. The Software Developer must demonstrate good analytical abilities, attention to detail, and strong verbal and written communication skills in English. The developer will be responsible for the .NET interface to the core ratings engine including wrapping a web service around the core calculation engine and must be fluent in both native C++ and managed .NET (including C++/CLI for interop plus a managed-only language, preferably C#.) Additionally, the developer would help with modularizing code and porting parts of the C++ code to C# or other managed code as well as researching alternative reporting engines to overcome the size and speed limitations of the current reports, while maintaining the flexibility of multiple/custom report layouts off the same data set.
