*Role - Sr. Configuration Engineer*
*Duration - 6 Month+ Contract*
*Location - Boston, MA*

The configuration engineer will work with the development, infrastructure,
and operations teams to coordinate and support the continuous integration
processes.
*Responsibilities:*
- Help implement and maintain the processes that evaluate and recommend
improvement to the CI/CD processes that encompasses the following:
- Configuration Management
- Source code management
- Branching
- Builds
- Deployments
- Environments
- Collaborate with the development, infrastructure, and operations teams
in process automation initiatives and projects
- effectively communicate guidelines and tool usage to the Engineering
Department
- Maintain expertise in the areas of CI/CD, including industry trends,
strategies, and products
- Design, document and help optimize CI/CD strategies
- Work closely with local and distributed teams (both agile and
non-agile)
- Continually evaluate existing systems and processes and provide ideas
for improvement
*Job Requirements*
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 4 years related IT experience
- Experience designing and developing automated application builds and
deployments
- Understanding of source control, branching and merge strategies
- Experience with Continuous Integration toolsets (MS VSTS, Release
Management, Jenkins, Hudson, Maven, ANT)
- Experience with Chef
- Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Python, Ruby, etc)
- Ability to work closely with developers, test automation and
performance specialists, release management and infrastructure specialist
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology and working experience in an
agile environment is strongly desired.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
