Rate : $40/hr on C2C (MAX) Job Description:* Leads, advises, and collaborates with technical personnel on the conceptualization, development and implementation of a broad range of technical areas related to information systems and support. Performs high-level system design and analysis and directs technical strategies for accomplishing new objectives. Plans support strategies for UNIX systems, middleware tools, GIS infrastructure, and customer applications. Develop and lead the implementation of technical services support solutions Collaborate with development groups on system designs, improvements, and implementations Evaluate new technology solutions and develop hardware/software recommendations Develop and monitor standards and best practices for allocation and use of computing resources *Education/Skills:* BS in Computer Science, MIS related field. 5-10 years IS experience including five years experience in the development, testing, implementation and support of large scale computer systems 5 years UNIX/Linux sysadmin experience supporting medium to large development, test, and production environments Knowledge and experience with the Linux OS, kernel, patching, and software management.
