Non Local candidates are OK* *THE KEY FOR THIS ROLE IS TO FIND CANDIDATES WHO HAVE DESIGNED CUSTOM AUTOMATION FRAMEWORKS WITH RUBY. WE DO NOT WANT CANDIDATES WHO HAVE ONLY MODIFIED EXISTING FRAMEWORKS. THIS IS A TECHNICAL POSITION AND NOT A PEOPLE MANAGEING ROLE.* *Position Title:** QA Automation Architect * *Required Skills:* Must have at least 3 years of experience in a “Technical Lead” position Must have experience acting as the Architect for automation testing decisions Must have created different automation frameworks Experience in a mixed SDLC environment (Agile & Waterfall) Must be able to define a roadmap strategy and drive/implement that strategy Experience interfacing with all parties on project team daily including PMs, developers, business stakeholders in daily team meetings Must have strong written and verbal communication skills Must be comfortable making decisions Experience with web-based automation *Desired Skills: * Prior experience with Ruby is strongly preferred Experience with the automation of mainframe systems Experience in the Insurance industry would be helpful Bachelor's Degree in IT or similar field of study Certifications are desired *Description of Role/Responsibilities:* We are looking for a QA Automation Architect to join a well-known Client headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. This person will be responsible for deciding which automation frameworks will work best for different projects and initiates. Ideal candidates will have experience working in a “Technical Lead” role to other testers. Candidates do not need to have experience with employees directly reporting to them but they have to be comfortable making decisions and then seeing those decisions to completion. The team is currently utilizing Ruby for most of their automation efforts so experience with that technology will be extremely helpful in the beginning.
